簡介
每年一度的美國“搖滾名人堂” 入主儀式其實就是西方搖滾樂界成就獎，其基金會成立于1983年，第一屆頒獎典禮于1986年舉行。相比被視為美國流行樂壇最高榮譽獎的“格萊美獎”，“搖滾名人堂”顯得厚重許多，它考慮到了入選音樂人對整個搖滾樂歷史的貢獻
，更能證明他們的輝煌成就。這些入主的音樂人，首先他們被提名的時間必須距離首張專輯發行25年以上，此外要對推動搖滾樂發展做出了足夠的貢獻，并且在搖滾史上具備不朽的地位。然后由搖滾歷史學家組成的評委會提出5至7人的提名名單，并通過因特網傳遞給700
位搖滾樂專家進行投票，獲得最多票且得票率過半者最終方可入主。“搖滾名人堂”也比其他獎項更看重搖滾文化，可入主其內的并不只是搖滾樂手，包括詞曲作者、制作人、錄音師、音樂記者等“業內人士”，也可以入選。而早于搖滾樂年代出現的人，只要對它有不
