《青玉案 元夕》

東風夜放花千樹，更吹落，星如雨。
寶馬雕車香滿路，鳳蕭聲動，壺光轉，一夜魚龍舞 。
蛾兒雪柳黃金縷，笑語盈盈暗香去。
眾里尋他千百度，驀然回首， 那人卻在，火闌珊處。從事文學翻譯長達六十余年，譯作涵蓋中、英、法等語種，翻譯集中在中國古詩英譯，形成韻體譯詩的方法與理論，被譽為“詩譯英法唯一人” ，北京大學教授，翻譯家。在國內外出版中、英、法文著譯六十本，包括《詩經》、《楚辭》、《李白詩選》、《西廂記》、《紅與黑》、《包法利夫人》、《追憶似水年華》等中外名著。2014年8月2日許淵沖榮獲國際翻譯界最高獎項之一的“北極光”杰出文學翻譯獎 ，系首位獲此殊榮亞洲翻譯家。The Lantern Festival Night - to the tune of Green Jade Table

One night's east wind adorns a thousand trees with flowers
And blows down stars in showers.
Fine steeds and carved cabs spread fragrance en route;
Music vibrates from the flute;
The moon sheds its full light
While fish and dragon lanterns dance all night.
In gold-thread dress, with moth or willow ornaments,
Giggling, she melts into the throng with trails of scents
But in the crowd once and again
I look for her in vain.
When all at once I turn my head,
I find her there where lantern light is dimly shed.東風夜放花千樹中的放：譯成adorn喜愛，情感飽含于此星如雨： 譯為stars in showers，形象生動寶馬的馬字：用到了steeds駿馬，而非horse. 玉壺：此詞譯為the moon月亮，在古文中倒是有此說法暗香去的去字: 真是精髓，譯為melts into融入“驀然回首”的驀然：譯成when all at once 突然Lantern Festival, also called Shangyuan Festival, is celebrated on January 15 of Chinese lunar calendar. It is the first full moon night in the Chinese lunar year, symbolizing the coming back of the spring. Lantern Festival may be regarded as the last day of Spring Festival, the new-year festival of China, in other words, the Spring Festival does not end until the Lantern Festival has passed. Lasting to Lantern Festival, the busy atmosphere of Spring Festival on that day shows new visions and amorous feelings. Lantern Festival is regarded as a good day for family gather-together. According to the folk custom of China, people on that night will lighten up fancy lanterns and go out to appreciate the moon, set off fireworks, guess riddles written on lanterns, and eat rice glue balls to celebrate the festival.元宵節，另稱“上元節”，農歷一月十五。這是農歷第一個月圓之夜，故有著春季回歸之意。此節也有著春節（中國傳統新年）畫上圓滿句號之意，也便是俗話說的，鬧完元宵才算完年。忙忙碌碌的春節時至今日彰顯出新的一番風味與情愫。元夕節也是家庭團聚的好日子。中華傳統便有著張燈結彩、舉頭望月、火樹銀花和花燈解謎與品嘗元宵等眾多習俗。
