Cui Qingtao, 17, was mixing mortar at a construction site with his parents on Sunday when he received his acceptance letter from Peking University, which is widely regarded as the top university in China.

據掌上曲靖客戶端報道，今年高考，學文科的崔慶濤考了669分，被北京大學新聞與傳播學院專業錄取。
In this year's gaokao, or China's college entrance examination, the young man from a low-income family scored 669 points and applied to Peking University, where he was accepted as a student in the School of Journalism and Communication.
7月22日，郵遞員將北京大學的錄取通知書送到崔慶濤手上的時候，他正在工地上當泥工，與他一同干活的還有他的父母，剛上四年級的妹妹在一旁玩耍。
Cui's home is in a small village in Qujing city, Southwest China's Yunnan province. He is the oldest son, with a younger brother in high school and a sister in the fourth grade.
To help his family earn more money, he'd spend his vacations getting up at 3 o'clock in the morning to fertilize and water plants in the greenhouses with his brother.

看到綠色的郵政面包車駛入工地，崔慶濤和他的父母、妹妹一起從干活的樓上走下來。 
On Sunday, Cui's family was doing construction work at the site of a new home when Cui Yuqing saw a postal van come onto the property. Cui and his parents and sister were excited as they finally received the long-expected acceptance letter.
在一個盛水的白色塑料大缸前，渾身是灰塵的崔慶濤彎著腰，在水缸里仔細地把手洗得干干凈凈，然后在自己穿著的紅色T恤上左擦右擦。
滿臉汗珠的他面帶微笑，拿出自己的身份證給快遞員核實信息，并接過快遞員遞過來的筆，在快件上簽字。
辦完手續后，他接過快遞員遞上的裝著通知書的EMS快件和鮮花。
就在堆著建筑材料的工地上，一家子拿著那個紅色的快件反復看。娘倆合力才把紅色的大信封拆開，拿出了盼望已久的通知書。
崔慶濤的父親崔茂榮不識字，叫妻子念通知書的內容給自己聽。
許樹蘭就一字一字地念起來：
“北京大學錄取通知書。崔慶濤同學，我校決定錄取你入新聞與傳播學院專業學習，請你準時于2018年8月30日憑本通知書到校報到，校長林建華。”
一家人拿著錄取通知書，喜悅之情溢于言表。

據了解，當天，當地高中的幾位老師也一起來看望崔慶濤，告訴他一些助學貸款的辦理手續和程序，并囑咐他主動聯系目前已經在北京大學就讀的學長們，為開學做好準備。
在接受梨視頻采訪時，崔慶濤表示他平均一天要在工地干11—12小時活。
選擇和父母在工地上打工是因為“他們（父母）那邊也是很苦的，在家里可以幫打點下手”。
