昔人已乘黃鶴去，
此地空余黃鶴樓。
黃鶴一去不復返，
白云千載空悠悠。

晴川歷歷漢陽樹，
芳草萋萋鸚鵡洲。
日暮鄉關何處是，
煙波江上使人愁。

The Yellow Crane Tower

In th’past a man rode on a yellow crane to th’ sky,
Leaving the Yellow Crane Tower behind, here alone.
Th’yellow crane’s gone without return fore’er and aye,
White clouds have for thousands of years idly flown.

Trees at Hanyang glisten byth’sun-lit riverside,
Grass at the Parrot Shoal is lushly overgrown.
Where’s my homeland? -- on the twilight I set my eye,
The misty waves on th' YangsteRiver make me moan.
