Digging into it, this metaphorical picture intends to shed light on the phenomenon of deforestation which has emerged as the spotlight of the public. Undoubtedly, many factors are accountable for it. One of the most essential shaping factors is that excessive focus has been placed on the economic progress while the urgency to protect environment is largely overlooked among the public. Plus, the absence of necessary punishments for committing those misdeeds should be blamed in the meanwhile. To avoid the aggravation of environmental situation, making effective measures and relevant regulations should be among the government priorities. However, rules alone will not be sufficient, which must be accompanied by persuasion and education that help raise public awareness in protecting our forest.
三、Autonomous vehicles replaces manned driving As is depicted in the picture, the emerging auto-pilot technology has gradually achieved its replacement of manned driving. This cartoon reveals that in an age where new technologies emerge in an endless stream, human labor are likely to be displaced in the future by what we call artificial intelligence. According to a survey, the public have adopted different attitudes towards the application of autonomous cars. Those who are in favor of it argues that auto-piloting will bring much efficiency for them such as saving their time, so that they can deal with their work in the car without paying attention to the road conditions. While the opposing voices contend that the use of autonomous vehicles would deprive many bread-winners of their jobs such as taxi drivers or those chauffeurs. It’s actually difficult to determine whether the use of auto-pilot technology is good or not because there are definitely pros and cons concerning its application. However, personally speaking, I think its advantages outweigh its disadvantages as long as we can try to optimize its property to make it safer and more convenient for us in the future. 四、Big cities or medium-small cities It is inevitable that every college student will be confronted with a head-scratching puzzlement upon their graduation: whether to be employed in a small-medium city near hometown or to be involved in a metropolis. Students, of course, hold different opinions. A large number of college graduates choose to stay in big cities for a better career development, taking the attitude that it provides them with more opportunities to strive for a brighter future. It is a virtue.” It implies the great significance of being punctual in your daily life. What I learn from this remark is that being on time is beneficial for others as well as ourselves. Firstly, forming the habit of being punctual would leave others an impression of good upbringing and would be more likely for you to obtain trust from your friends and partners because people are generally inclined to have confidence in punctual person. Meanwhile, punctuality shows your respect to others and those believing in you don’t need to be bothered with changing their schedule or plan, hence your interpersonal relationship would be improved to a large extent. Plus, punctuality would promote us to be more disciplined in our daily life and work so that we are capable of keeping our life in order even when we are confronted with multiple tasks. Actually, punctuality is essential for both individuals and the organizations as it can directly promote the rapid progress of individuals and organizations and indirectly spur continuous development of the individuals, and eventually brings economic prosperity and social harmony. 六、The increase of private car number According to the figure in the graph, it can be seen that the number of private cars has been increasing rapidly from 3,9000 in February, 2018 to 21,4000 in December, 2018. Those aggravating traffic jams can serve as indication of the trend that more people are buying and driving their private cars. In effect, a number of factors are accountable for this phenomenon. One of the most common reasons is that with the development of market-oriented economy, people earn more money than before, making it possible for them to afford a car or even several cars in one family. In addition, self-driving tour is enjoying great popularity among the public. People are eager to drive their own cars with their families and friends to travel with freedom without being subjected to the changeable timetables of public transportation. Last but not least, people nowadays have viewed cars and houses as symbols of success, so they are more likely to buy a car in order to prove themselves.
