Uncle Sam doesn’t like farmer. He thinks they are very foolish and only know how to work on the farm.

One winter morning, the sun is shining. Uncle Sam sits on the step of his house. At that moment, a farmer with a map in his hand comes to him.

Farmer：Excuse me, Sir. Can you tell me know to get to the hospital, please? Uncle Sam：Lie down on the middle of the street and you’ll soon be at a hospital. 

Farmer： Please demonstrate it to me.

Uncle Sam： I think you come to our city for the first time. It’s much more beautiful than the field. Is it not?

Farmer： Yes, sir. But it is built on the field. Uncle Sam’s face turns red.

山姆大叔不喜歡農民，他認為農民很笨，只知道種田。

農民問：“打擾了先生，請問醫院怎么走？”山姆大叔回答：“躺在路中間，一會兒就會有人送你到醫院。”

農民很和氣：“請指給我詳細的路吧”

山姆大叔說：“我看出來了，你是第一次進城，城市比田里漂亮多了，對嗎？”

農民說：“沒錯，先生，可是城市還是建在田地上的，不對嗎？”
