The residence located on the west bank of Sag Harbor Bay at the eastern end of Long Island, New York, was jointly designed by Kelly Klein and 1100 Architect. The home features an open, loft-style floor plan that integrates cooking, dining, and living functions into one main expansive space, along with a dedicated media room and a comfortable outdoor living area. The bedroom area, which shares the same floor as the other living spaces, includes a master bedroom and two guest bedrooms. The lower level, invisible from the exterior, houses a storage room, laundry room, and a three-car garage, all embodying a functional minimalist ethos.

Designed by David Piscuskas and Ed Parker, the principal architects of 1100 Architect, this family home centers on a modern loft-style living experience, blending ultimate sophistication, simplicity, and spatial fluidity. Inspired by global barn architecture, the design employs a layout where two rectangular volumes intersect vertically: the longer volume extends parallel to the beach, accommodating the family's social living functions; while the shorter "barn" houses variously sized bedrooms, offering views of the forest and sea.

The building's exterior is defined by clean geometric lines, eliminating visual distractions such as traditional window frames (with glass directly embedded into the walls), gutters, and eaves, returning to the essence of architectural form. The roof is covered with three-inch-wide wooden planks that seamlessly extend to the exterior walls. The base features black granite. A 40-foot-wide floor-to-ceiling glass wall in the main building, along with a high ceiling, captures the vast sky and serene bay, organically connecting indoor and outdoor spaces into a cohesive whole, presenting an understated yet high-end sense of luxury.

The interior design continues Kelly Klein's pursuit of cleanliness, simplicity, and purity. She is not fond of bright colors; instead, the space predominantly features subtle layers of white, cream, and neutral tones, artfully framing the greenery and blues of the natural landscape outside, allowing occupants to first feel the tranquility of nature. Every element has been thoughtfully considered, meticulously selected, and rigorously planned by her. After stripping away superfluous details, each choice appears deliberate and distinct, reflecting her refined taste and personal style throughout.

The design of the bedrooms and bathrooms continues to embody the principles of efficiency and precision, featuring a simple yet practical spatial layout that creates a serene and harmonious overall atmosphere. The entire project was successfully completed in just two years. During the construction process, Kelly Klein made only one minor adjustment to the massage tub area, a testament to her decisive and resolute leadership style—once a plan was finalized, it was consistently executed without deviation.

A massive boulder stands at the center of the courtyard, positioned at the intersection of the residence's two wings. The barn sliding doors are treated with the Japanese Shou Sugi Ban charring technique, creating a naturally rot-resistant surface.

泳池自建筑主體延伸而出，與兩翼交匯的轉角結構融為一體。池水沿邊緣溢出，形成一座可供暢游的動態水景雕塑。泳池旁環繞著沃里桑（Warisan）定制的柚木椅，中央擺放著伍德蘭直購（Woodland Direct）出品的Asia燃氣火盆。

The swimming pool extends from the main building, integrating with the corner structure where the two wings meet. The water overflows along the edges, forming a dynamic water sculpture suitable for swimming. Surrounding the pool are custom teak chairs from Warisan, with an Asia gas fire pit from Woodland Direct placed in the center.
